About the Hertfordshire Players
Hertfordshire Players is an award-winning theatre group which performs biennially at Cornwall’s Minack Theatre. This dynamic and talented group features a wide range of versatile actors, writers, musicians, composers, costume designers, choreographers, set designers, sound and light engineers, and stage managers who join together every two years for a fun, family-oriented production on one of the world’s most stunning stages. Hertfordshire Players come from many walks of life – ranging in age from 5 to 85, and including some nationally recognized talent. Their productions are well-known for being visually stunning and creatively produced.
2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first appearance on the Minack stage of The Interluders, Hertfordshire Players’ early incarnation. Over all these years company members have been honoured to bring to Porthcurno a bit of Hertfordshire creativity and pizzazz … to command the stage and tame the wild sea mists … to captivate and even at times – during those wondrous moments – enthrall the unparalleled Minack audiences.
“In a world full of craziness, this little island of creativity and imagination is a wonderful thing.”
“The play’s the thing”
